Here we see an install of a Karndean floor by Tim Nightingale, the Torbay flooring specialist.
All traces of the previous floor covering were removed including tacks and staples. The floor is boarded with 9mm ply fixed at 200mm centres. The ply is then filled and feathered to give a mirror finish to ensure the new planks sit completely flush.
In this fitting a shaped door recess has been cut out to allow fitting of an integrated doormat in the highest traffic area. The finished look is enhanced with an inlaid border strip.
